The blogger

I am transparent. What you see is what you get. Most of the time people don't understand me, or what I'm saying, but it's far simpler than what they think it is. I act like a kid all the time, finding pleasure in the simple things that life has to offer, because I find a curious freedom in being child-like. Most of the time you will see me with my head in the clouds, dreaming about the most impossible things like unicorns and giant butterflies. Every once in a while, my imagination goes berserk and if you happen to be with me during these times, you will find yourself in the midst of a fast whirling hurricane of ethereal things and ideas. I love to lose myself in the music of everyday life for i believe that every moment of our life here on earth is worth living.

I am me.

the military is the key

Sunday, February 26, 2006

The Marines are out on the streets.

In my observation of the past EDSAs, I have noticed one thing: that the People Power Revolutions are only successful when the military breaks free from the present government. It is such a strong and overpowering force that victory is almost already assured to those who side with it.

It's happening all over again. The Marines are already out in the streets, in Fort Bonifacio. The people are already tired, hungry and angry. Another uprising is taking place, another attempt to upset the Arroyo Administration. The time draws nearer as I type this, and I am afraid for my countrymen. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo seems to be a formidable opponent, and I fear that she might be just as harsh as former President ferdinand Marcos was. The steely glints that you can see in her eyes are proof of her staunch belief that she is the only one that is fit to rule our country.

Fear. Anxiety. Helplesness. The three predominant emotions that our country is feeling. It's as if darkness has once again been veiled over us, and we don't know what is going to happen next.

God bless us.
